Guy Cogeval, Le Musée d'Orsay: a 360-Degree View

(Paris: Flammarion 2013)

I edited this catalogue of the Musée d'Orsay collections following the redevelopment of the museum.

Blurb:

Under the direction of Guy Cogeval, president of the Musée d'Orsay, a team of curators selected more than 300 works including, besides the inevitable masterpieces, recent acquisitions or works too long remained on reserve.
Painting is certainly in the spotlight, but other artistic practices are also present: photography, sculpture, graphics, decorative art, architecture, cinema and also opera.
Presented chronologically, each work is presented with a brief notice putting it in its historical and artistic context. Thus emerges through the Orsay collections, a new cultural history of the second half of the nineteenth century.
